Flowers & A Hug

After over twenty hours of travel time, Heather arrived in Entebbe, Uganda safely. Unknown to her at the time, her greeting party was stuck in a traffic jam attempting to pick her up. Finally, the greeting party arrived and she saw Abigail for the very first time. With a handful of flowers, Abigail headed towards Heather and gave her new Mama a hug. Praise God!

Made from recycled magazines these beautiful necklaces and bracelets are handmade by the women in Uganda. When we purchase the bead necklaces and bracelets from them it provides income for food, medical care, housing, and school fees.

Each bead is made by cutting the paper into triangles, wetting the paper and rolling it on a thin stick, applying a clear varnish to it and then strung onto strings to make the necklaces and bracelets. It takes approximately one day to make a full strand necklace. The bracelets are elastic . Please indicate which you prefer upon ordering. Because each necklace and bracelet is handmade they vary in color as well as slight length differences.

The necklaces sell for $10.00 per strand (Some necklaces will wrap around twice and some will wrap around three times as pictured) and the bracelets sell for $5.00 each. We accept all major credit cards through paypal. Thank you for your purchase and support to help bring our next babies home!
