Picture update!

Our two kiddos!
Nolan started Tae Kwon Do this year, looks like a tough guy doesn't he?  I love the flip flops for the picture!
Abigail is my little kitchen helper.  She LOVES to help cook.  She also LOVES pirate stuff so I had a pirate apron made for her. :)  So fun!

Thank you Albion and Texas Corners!

We had a GREAT weekend of bead shows this weekend.  The rain presented some patience opportunities in Albion but it turned out to be a great day.  In the end, we got rained out at 3:00 and had to pack up to leave.  In the mean time we met lots of great people and made some fun connections.

My sweet hubby did the Texas Corners show, the kids decided they didn't want to go two days in a row.  Haha, it gets VERY long for Nolan especially.  The Taste of Texas was this weekend and Jason had a great day.  The weather was PERFECT fall weather and God blessed us once again.

The thing that continues to amaze me is the number of beads we are able to sell.  We are SO excited to be able to tell people the story of the women in Uganda and our adoption story.  EVERYBODY seems so supportive and excited to hear about it.  Like I was in the beginning I think people are shocked when they here about the little opportunities for women in Uganda.  Some people love to get information about how they can possibly adopt.  Best of all we get to witness about our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and THAT is the greatest gift of all.

Next weekend I will be at the Clinton Fall Festival, Abigail insists that she wants to come with!!  That will be a long show but a great opportunity to tell people about adoption, Uganda and Jesus!  Last year when we were doing these shows we were both working full time so now that I'm home I feel much less stressed out about our busy weekends!

On a sad note, my husband is grieving today.  His Fighting Irish fell at the hands of Michigan State this weekend in a last minute overtime play.  They also fell at the hands of University of Michigan last weekend.  It's tough to be a Notre Dame fan when you live in Michigan!  I pray for peace in his heart as I think he may have been "football humbled" this weekend.  Poor guy.   :)  GO IRISH!

Blessings to all for a great week!  I will post again soon, we are suppose to get our sample t-shirts in today with our new logo and I am SOOO excited about that!

New Look!

Do you like it?  Well we figured new adoption, new look.  We are keeping the name All About Abigail because that's how people search for us online so it's our new business name for all of our shows.  I spent all day yesterday designing a logo just for us and I'm pretty excited about it.  Our new t-shirts will be this design plus our new cards and banners for the shows.  HERE WE GO AGAIN!  This year I'm doing much larger shows then last year like the 3 day show in Clinton!  YIKES!  But once again I am blessed with my friends who are so wonderful to offer their help.  My friend Monica has so nicely volunteered to come to multiple shows to help this fall  Thank you Monica!  Those are the people that you just know God has sent in your life just when you needed help.  God knows I was too stubborn to ask for help on my own.

September is turning into a fast and furious month again!  My goal is to be blogging at least twice a week again.  I turned the big 34!  I loved being 33 because that was the age that Jesus died on the cross for my sins.  Now that I've turned a year older there is a something somber about knowing he himself, the son of God was not able to live as long as I have.

I used to get freaked out at the idea of getting older but I'm just so blessed, I have two beautiful kids, an amazing husband, incredible friends, a warm home, my health and food on the table every day.  What more could I ask for!  And besides, I feel like I'm 18 still!

First Day of school!!!  Big boy!!!  Nolan could hardly sleep the night before he was SOOO excited for first grade!!  Abigail looks so tiny in her little pj's next to her big brother!

The first day of school was a little tough last week.  I wasn't quite ready for my big boy to go to school yet.  This is the first year it's a full day at school.  He was SO SO excited about going back.  I love that he gushes over the "love notes" I put in his lunch box each day.  I love that he's so fired up for school and can hardly wait to go, it's just amazing to see my "little" boy grow up so fast.  Feels like yesterday I was putting up the crib.

Abigail has her own adjustments with Nolan going to school, she's used to having him home and playing together all day so she was a little lost the first day.  But she's gotten used to her own routine here with mom and she LOVES being a big helper around the house.  She especially loves to help prepare meals and cook sweets.  As Abigail's language expands we learn more and more about her life in Uganda which is so great for us.  We spend the day working on bonding, I rock her to sleep for her nap and she sleeps the entire two hours on me so I in turn take a nap too!  I love it!  I feel like I only have a few precious months and she will be entering school herself so I want as much time with her right now as I can get!  I don't even remember life before Abigail, it's like she's always been here.

So here's to a beautiful week with Jesus!

Blessings,

Heather

New Look!

Well since we are starting over on our journey of adoption again I decided we needed a new look.  So today I spent all day designing a logo and attaching it to everything.  Do you like it?  I've posted our bead show schedule on the right as I tend to get overwhelmed with the number of emails requesting a show schedule.  Sorry if I haven't gotten back to you!

One more thing, we are so blessed to receive a numerous amount of comments on our blog.  Please under
